Who are we?

Lincolnshire ITT is a school-based route where you train to teach within our partner schools. School Centred Initial Teacher Trainers (SCITTs) can award Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). We work with the University of Lincoln to also award a PGCE.

We offer access to a diverse range of schools within Lincolnshire. These range from primary to secondary schools, mixed schools to single sex schools and comprehensive to grammar.  These schools reflect the diversity of types of establishments in our county.

Lincolnshire ITT provide life-long professional development to trainees within Lincolnshire, including supporting and providing opportunities as an Early Career Teacher (ECT), Recently Qualified Teacher (RQT), leadership roles and beyond.

Who do we train?

We are looking both for new graduates and those wanting a career change so we actively encourage anyone to apply.

We are looking for outstanding teachers from a wide range of backgrounds who will inspire our students through their enthusiasm and belief in the intrinsic value of their subject/phase. We'd like you to show:

  • A high quality degree demonstrating your subject knowledge
  • The ability to communicate knowledge to a range of learners
  • High levels of interpersonal skills
  • A flexible approach and open and willing to learn

Where will I train?

Trainees will spend the majority of their time in their main teaching school, but will have the experience of teaching in a second, contrasting school. Time spent in the classroom will be supported by a weekly training element delivered to all trainees at either schools across the county, the University of Lincoln or a central training location in Lincoln.
